Guitarist EDUARDO NIEBLA begins the summer tour of the MEDITERRANEAN FESTIVAL TOUR – August and September 2022

From August 2 to 13 and from September 9 to 25, the Mediterranean Festival Tour will take place, an itinerant music festival by renowned composer Eduardo Niebla, with the distinguishing feature of being held in churches, basilicas and gardens.

Eduardo Niebla, consecrated as one of the world leaders in contemporary Spanish guitar, will make a summer concert tour as part of the 1st edition of the Mediterranean Festival Tour.

The festival, which was born with the philosophy of expanding throughout the Mediterranean until reaching Andalusia, is distinguished by the fact that it will tour the churches of coastal towns such as Cadaqués (Church of Santa Maria), Castelló d’Empúries (Basilica of Santa Maria), L’Escala (Church of Sant Pere), S’Agaró (Church of Hope – Urb. La Gavina), Calella de Mar (Church of Santa Maria and Sant Nicolau) or Sitges (Church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla), among others.

Eduardo Niebla, who will be accompanied by the brilliant guitarist Joao Lima, will dance his seductive guitar to offer a sublime, rich and varied musical repertoire with many nuances, which will become a journey through his long musical career with emblematic pieces performed in similar auditoriums of the world, where he establishes a solid and innovative link, let’s say religious, between flamenco, jazz-cool and the Mediterranean sound, together with some compositions included in his new album Las Olas de Niebla.

Eduardo Niebla, with the supernatural talent and deep passion that characterize him, and his virtuosity will offer a magical and exciting evening with his beautiful and poetic musical creations, capable of bringing the echo of the sound of the Mediterranean closer to the public, as well as transporting it to places most romantics from India, Japan, Africa, UK, Saudi Arabia, America, etc.

All this in an intimate and close atmosphere, and in a unique building such as churches, with their particular sound. An evening where musical art, historical culture and religion mix homogeneously creating a surprising nice time, with the notes of the guitar delighting the senses as it spread through the walls to return to the ear with crystalline purity.

From Andalusian parents, he was born in Tangier (Morocco) in 1955 where Eduardo is one of eleven children. As a result of the complicated political context that the country was suffering, his family moved to settle in Girona. At the age of 18, he founded the legendary symphonic rock band Atila. He then settles in London to start an outstanding solo career, which has led him to perform at prestigious international festivals.
